HOUSE has been one of the biggest hits of American television ever since it premiered more than four years ago. Though some viewers are turned off by the lead character's (Dr. Gregory House, wonderfully played by Hugh Laurie) eccentricity and weirdness, there are millions who find him interesting and intriguing. Add to this the show's different approach to a medical
drama and viewers were smitten. Thousands scour the web for House online episodes, from the oldest to the current season's latest, to watch or download Dr. House's latest escapades and antics.
This medical drama centers on Dr. Gregory House, a brilliant doctor with no bedside manner. The grouchy doctor is somewhat of a maverick and leads a team of young medical experts to investigate unusual cases.Arguably the most irritating, infuriating and intriguing TV-series hero of all time, Dr. House, brought a whole new spectrum of meanings to the words "obnoxious", "abrasive" and "cynical". Mercilessly ragging and browbeating fellow doctors and patients alike, House trusts absolutely no one, least of all himself. While it could be argued that his incessant anger and sarcasm grew from the fact that his leg is in constant pain, he has only himself to blame for much of the agony because he insists upon using his cane incorrectly. Add to this the fact that Dr. House doesn't seem to know what proper grooming is, and that he is addicted to Vicodin and other painkillers and isn't above forging prescriptions to keep the drugs flowing, and you have a classic example of a sociopathic jerk not even worth anyone's time. Except for one thing: Dr. House happens to be a genius in his field, his brilliance shining brightest when solving complex medical cases that had thoroughly baffled all the other experts, and correctly diagnosing rare, obscure and highly lethal diseases.
There is probably nothing more irksome that someone who thinks he's always right, and who turns out to BE always right. To his credit, he inspires great loyalty and admiration from his long-suffering staff, including neurologist Eric Foreman, immunologist/allergist Allison Cameron and intensivist Robert Chase. And incredible though it seems, he can boast a good and faithful friend in the form of oncologist Dr. James Wilson, perhaps the only person to whom House ever turns for advice. Even his chief antagonist, hospital administrator and dean of medicine Lisa Cuddy, grudgingly admitted that House always gets results.watch or download free HOUSE episodes (online streaming)
