Based on the popular Colombian telenovela Yo Soy Betty La Fea (I am Betty, the ugly), Ugly Betty became an instant hit with television audiences prompting thousands to scour the internet for online video streams of old episodes so that they can watch them again. The same is true with this blogger. Though I have seen many (but not all) of Ugly Betty's episodes shown
locally, I still find myself regularly searching for free Ugly Betty video streams online to watch the more memorable episodes or keep updated with the ones yet to be shown in our part of the woods. Ugly Betty is the story of Betty Suarez, a plain girl from Queens, New York who happens to be smart, hard-working and savvy. She has dreamed of working in the publishing world but, unfortunately, has had no luck being hired because people won't care to look beyond her superficial characteristics. But luck soon favored our hapless heroine when Bradford Meade, head of the Meade publishing empire, hires Betty to be his son Daniel's new assistant, not really because of her qualifications, but because he thinks she's the only one his son won't sleep with and that's good enough. Though initially reluctant to accept her, Daniel finally recognizes Betty's can-do spirit and great ideas. The two eventually become a formidable pair, ready to take the fashion world by storm, and that's when Ugly Betty's adventures begin.
